This is a great replacement for plastic parachutes that usually come with smaller model rocket kits. The nylon tends to last longer because it doesn't melt as easily, and the shroud lines are much more durable than the ones on plastic parachutes that tend to rip off. Nylon parachutes work much better in cold weather because they don’t tend to get stiff like plastic does. Nylon parachutes can also be hand washed in order to keep them clean.
